Julie Brannen has always centered her life around animals.  Her love of animals led her to become a veterinarian and animal chiropractor. She grew up in west Texas competing in rodeo and continued the sport at Tarleton State University.  From there she went on to Texas A&M University and graduated from veterinary school in 2005.  Since then she has practiced in both mixed and small animal veterinary clinics.  She is also an AVCA accredited chiropractor.  Dr. Brannen is excited to bring Hidden Branch Stables to central Texas as not only an excellent equine boarding facility but as a center for total health and wellness for our equine partners.

Abbie Chappell fell in love with horses at a very early age.   As an army brat she moved all over the country and over the past 20+ years has ridden and shown with many different trainers on many different horses.  Because of her exposure to so many wonderful teachers (both human and horse), Abbie has great versatility in explaining new concepts so that every student can understand them.  She also has a passion for figuring out each horse’s individual personality and how to bring out the best in them.  Abbie graduated from Texas A&M University in 2005 with a B.S. in Biology, and has worked in the veterinary field with both large and small animals since that time.  Her experience in this field allows her to take the upmost care of the animals at our farm.

There is nothing so good for the inside of a man as the outside of a horse.
